Looking to have some fun and improve your programming skills with a vibrant community of developers while competing for prizes every week? Introducing “beecrowd Honeypot“, the new recurring coding challenge competition from beecrowd!
Honeypot is a monthly competition with prizes for the top three placements, consisting of weekly coding challenges. The winner of each week’s challenge will receive a prize, and everyone who participates can earn points towards the monthly competition.
Each week, a coding challenge – which will always be a public problem already available on the beecrowd platform – will be announced on our Discord server. After the announcement, participants will have 24 hours to solve the challenge with the best code they can develop.
For the weekly challenge, the criteria for selecting the winner will be announced along with the problem to be solved and the prize. For the monthly competition points, the criteria will always be the performance of the code in terms of runtime.
Prizes for the top three placements in the monthly Honeypot competition will be announced at the beginning of each month, and prizes for each weekly challenge will be announced at the beginning of each week. These announcements will be made primarily through Discord. Prizes may be beecrowd merchandise or American dollars in gift cards – check out the options here!
Excited to join? Participating is very simple:
- Join the beecrowd community on Discord;
- Go to the #language channel and select the languages you understand to access the relevant channels;
- Keep an eye on the #tournaments channel and our communications via email and social media to know when the challenge will be announced, and be on Discord at the scheduled time to find out the problem to be solved!
To participate in the challenge, you must be part of our community on Discord, and the announcement of the problem to be solved will be made only through this channel. Submissions from people who are not on Discord will not be considered for the Ranking.
Additionally, extra points may be awarded based on the number of participants in the challenge – don’t forget to use our referral tool to invite more people to beecrowd!
